Range Rover crashes into house in North Tyneside leaving two people hurt
A Range Rover has crashed into the side of a building in the Chirton area of North Shields.
The white vehicle appears to have collided with an external wall and has caused significant damage to the property. Emergency services including the police, fire and ambulance services have been on the scene.
Northumbria Police has confirmed that officers were alerted to the incident at around 10.40am. One person was taken to A&E at Cramlington's Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital by the ambulance service while another was treated for minor injuries and discharged at the scene.

In a statement, a police spokesperson said: “At 10.40am today (Friday), we received a report that a vehicle had collided with a building on Front Street, in the Chirton area of North Shields. Emergency services are in attendance.”
A Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added that work was ongoing to make the area safe.
They said: "We can confirm that earlier this morning (31st January), we deployed three appliances to an ongoing incident in North Tyneside. The emergency call was received by our control team at 10.34am, reporting a vehicle collision with a residential property.
"Firefighters are currently on-scene, making the area safe. Our colleagues from Northumbria Police and the North East Ambulance Service are also in attendance."
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic incident on Front Street in North Shields this morning (31 January) at 10:20am.
"We dispatched two ambulance crews to the incident. One patient was taken the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care hospital and one patient was treated and discharged on scene."
