It's gained a cult following since opening up back in 2017 - and despite not being in one of the more obvious foodie parts of the city, continues to impress everyone from footballers to food bloggers.

Found on Paisley Road West, Beirut Star is located in Cessnock but not in a busier part of the area, however it is more than worth getting the underground and having a wander along.

The most recent review comes from none other than Rangers star Ridvan Yilmaz, who gave it five stars for food, service and atmosphere.

Sharing the left back's review on their Instagram, Ridvan posted: "It was so delicious food than what I expected and also very friendly staff highly recommended Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 5"

The definition of a hidden gem, the little restaurant has become known for its quality Lebanese food and sit-down service, with people raving about their visits.

And it's not just football stars and bloggers who love it, a whopping 117 out of 140 reviews are rated 'excellent' on TripAdvisor, proving that a majority of diners love what they've had there - with some even describing the food as "flawless".

Our own intrepid reviewer Gillian loved it when she visited in 2018, and dubbed it a contender for one of her "favourite spots in Glasgow" after just one visit". You can see the review here.

With authentic dishes ranging from mutabbal (baba ganoush) and falafel to Chicken Shawarma, Soujouk (Armenian lamb sausages), and lamb koftas, the menu is packed with specials from the grill, traditional stews from Beirut (ideal for this time of year) and even flavoursome burgers for the less adventurous diner, there is plenty on offer for every style of palate to enjoy.
