Rangers will head for Cancun for a transfer summit in June.

Jefte is already in the door after signing from Fluminese and they have been linked with Chilean defender Thomas Galdames - who is set to play his final game for Argentinian club Godoy Cruz this week. The duo may not be the only pair from the continent catching the eye of Rangers as Record Sport understands an Ibrox representative will check into TransferRoom's Mexico convention on June 3 and 4.

Philippe Clement is in need of new recruits - having declared that it is in the end of an era at Ibrox - and the Light Blues' don't appear to be done with the market in the Americas just yet as they prepare to jet out for the event - dubbed the 'speed-dating' of football transfers. It will see a series of 15-minute one-to-one meetings in which clubs and agencies talk directly and get straight to transfer business.

Over 100 clubs and agencies will be joining the Light Blues' team - including the likes of Manchester City, Bayer Leverkusen, Inter Miami and UNAM Pumas. Founder and CEO of TransferRoom Jonas Ankersen said: "With Copa América on the horizon in the US and the World Cup set to kick off in Mexico, North America is truly taking centre stage in the world of football. And with the TransferRoom Summit, Cancún becomes the launchpad for the Summer Transfer Window.”

Rangers have previously utilised the summit to snap up players. The Lisbon summit in November 2023 directly led to the Light Blues doing a deal with Lens for Oscar Cortes in January.
