‘Rapidly Developing’ Rices Fire Prompts Evacuations in Northern California

Evacuation warnings remained in place for Nevada County residents in northern California, on Wednesday, June 29, as the “rapidly developing” Rices fire grew overnight, officials said.

Footage published by the Fire Integrated Real Time Intelligence System (FIRIS) shows smoke blowing in Rices Crossing in Nevada County.
