'Rapidly Growing' Wildfire Prompts Evacuations in Osoyoos, British Columbia

Evacuation orders were issued as a wildfire broke out close to Osoyoos, British Columbia, on July 19.

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen said evacuation orders were pending due to the threat of the “rapidly growing” fire. British Columbia Wildfire Service said the blaze was exhibiting “aggressive” behaviour.
