Rare 'danger to life' flood warning at Welsh border villages
A "danger to life" flood warning is in place for two communities on the Welsh border. Wales currently has 51 flood warnings where flooding is likely and another 44 alerts where it is "possible" - including many in North Wales and north Powys.
But a rare severe warning has been issued for two areas. Natural Resources Wales said this meant "there is a danger to life".
They added: "We urge people to take the warnings seriously, Listen to the emergency services. Be ready to leave your home if asked."

The two areas are at the River Monnow at Forge Road, Osbaston, and the River Monnow at Skenfrith. These are both on the border in Monmouthshire.
NRW said: "Significant risk to life and significant disruption to the community is expected. River levels are rising. Severe flooding is expected. Flooding to property is expected.
"We will continue to monitor the situation. We are working with partner organisations and will respond as required. River levels are rising."
