A 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Series 1, one of only 44 right-hand-drive examples produced, is coming up for auction this weekend with an estimate of £160,000 to £190,000.

The stunning silver GT is finished in Grigio Argento (silver grey), with a black leather interior.

It is being sold by Silverstone Auctions during its sales at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire this weekend as part of the Race Retro historic motorsport show.

At its launch in 1964, the 330 GT 2+2 was the fastest road-going Ferrari, with a 300bhp V12 engine in the nose providing 0-62mph acceleration in 6.3 seconds.

Like its 250 2+2 GTE and 330 America predecessors, the 330 GT was styled by Pininfarina but featured a more sculpted front and rear, along with the requisite twin headlights each side. Chassis number #6875 was optioned with wire wheels and electric windows, together with a Pelle Nera Franzi leather interior.

As well as road cars, the sale also includes many significant competition cars. Silverstone Auctions is offering a 1993 Subaru Legacy Group A rally car, as driven by Ari Vatanen and Richard Burns.

The Subaru, in the same distinctive 555 cigarette livery as made famous by Colin McRae’s exploits in Subaru Imprezas in the World Rally Championship a couple of seasons later, was prepared by Prodrive and is estimated at £120,000 to £140,000.

This 1993 Subaru Legacy Group A rally car was campaigned by Finnish legend Ari Vatanen and later by Briton Richard Burns

Its rally career includes leading the 1993 Acropolis Rally in the hands of Vatanen, while then-rising British star Burns finished second at the 1995 Bettega Memorial Rallysprint in Italy.

In 2008 the Richard Burns Collection acquired the car and commissioned Subaru rally specialist Autosportif Engineering Ltd to return it to its original guise.

Although it has been re-shelled with a brand new, Prodrive-spec Legacy body, the car retains many of the original mechanical components including the works engine, six-speed gearbox and suspension set-up. It also wears the original chassis ID plate and evocative registration.
