Yahoo News Ravens, LT Ronnie Stanley agree on 5-year extension reportedly worth $112M total
The Baltimore Ravens and left tackle Ronnie Stanley agreed to a massive contract extension on Friday. Stanley agreed to a five-year extension worth more than $112 million in total value, per a report by NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

The Ravens announced they signed Stanley to the deal, but did not reveal specifics.
“Ronnie is the mainstay on our offensive line,” Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said in a statement. “He's a shutdown left tackle who excels on the field and in our community. This is just the beginning for Ronnie, and we could not be happier for him and his family.”
The exact number, per Rapoport, is $112,866,000 with $70,866,000 guaranteed. The new money is $98.75 million over the additional five years, averaging $19.75 million per season.

That would make him the league’s second-highest paid left tackle behind the Houston Texans’ Laremy Tunsil ($22 million), per ESPN.
Stanley, the No. 6 overall pick in the 2016 draft, was in the final year of his rookie deal. The Ravens picked up the $12.866 million fifth-year option for the 2020 season. The new deal adjusts his earnings for this season, reportedly upping it to $47,116,000 from Sept. 13 to March 31, 2021.
He’ll reportedly receive a $22.5 million signing bonus and a $16.5 million option bonus, both of which will be paid by March.
Stanley, Lamar Jackson are future of Ravens
The 26-year-old was a first-team All-Pro last season, the first Ravens tackle to do so since Hall of Famer Jonathan Ogden 16 years ago in the early 2000s.
Stanley has been tasked in his career with protecting quarterback Lamar Jackson and has done it incredibly well. He was named the Pro Football Focus “Pass Blocker of the Year” in 2019 for giving up six total pressures over 16 games. His pass-blocking grade of 93.7 is one of the best grades ever given to a tackle by PFF. Only three players have received better marks since PFF started grading. One is Ogden at 94.7.
Stanley is not the first young Ravens star to sign an extension. The team signed cornerback Marlon Humphrey to a five-year, $97.5 million extension earlier this month.
