More and more woman have been opening up about their experiences with infertility, but one found a wholly unique way to come to terms with her personal struggle while shining a spotlight on something too many women still endure in silence.

After suffering three miscarriages, Vikki Hamilton reached out to Abbie Fox, a Las Vegas, Nevada-based photographer, and asked her to document her journey with an infertility photo shoot.

"When Vikki asked me to do this shoot about infertility, there was a ton of emotions. Absolutely, of course I would do this, but how?" Fox told PopSugar. "This subject hits close to home and I put my heart and soul into these sessions, so I knew it would be difficult."

Abbie had also suffered a miscarriage, so this shoot was poignant for both woman.

"There are so many emotions and so much that happens when you are struggling with infertility it feels like a tornado inside of you," she said. "I also knew there needed to be a rainbow somewhere, but since she hasn't had her rainbow baby yet, it was representing that she was waiting for her rainbow. There is still hope after the tornado has ripped you apart on the inside," Fox said.

Abbie said that while she didn't cry during the photo shoot, she did while editing the images afterwards. "We didn't talk much during the session," she said. "There was kind of an unspoken bond through it. It was very therapeutic, I think, for both of us."
