A team from the state’s Rescue 1122 service saw the hound while patrolling in the flood-hit area and enticed him down from his lonely vigil using food. Floods, described by Pakistan’s prime minister Shebaz Sharif as the worst in Pakistan’s history, have so far killed more than 1,100 people and displaced millions in the Asian country. Sharif has said it will cost at least $10bn to repair damaged infrastructure across his nation.
