Several more musicians have pulled out of performing at Reading and Leeds this upcoming weekend.

Last week headliners Rage Against the Machine cancelled their performance at the festival following a medical issue with frontman Zack de la Rocha.

Now, rapper Jack Harlow and Eurovision 2021 winners Maneskin have confirmed that they will no longer be performing at the two-site festival.

Organisers said they were 'saddened to hear' about the cancellations but have not offered refunds to customers no longer wishing to attend following the change in schedule.

The festival confirmed that pop band The 1975 would replace heavy rockers Rage Against the Machine and said in a statement that they were 'working on some exciting replacements' for Harlow and Maneskin.

While Maneskin and Harlow offered no reason for pulling out of the festival, Reading and Leeds seemed to confirm that both acts are set to attend the MTV VMA Awards instead.

At the VMA's, which take place on 29 August, Harlow is nominated for seven awards while Maneskin have been nominated for Best New Artist.

In several tweets to disgruntled fans, Ticketmaster confirmed that fans who had bought tickets expecting to see any of the cancelled acts were not entitled to a refund: "It's not a RATM show - it's Reading & Leeds festival.

"Unfortunately under the event’s terms of sale, changes to the line-up of a multi-performer event such as a festival don’t make a booking eligible for a refund."

As well as The 1975 filling in for Rage Against the Machine, Reading and Leeds will be headlined by the Arctic Monkeys, rapper Dave, Megan Thee Stallion, Bring Me the Horizon and Halsey.

Others artists currently booked for the event include Wolf Alice, Run the Jewels, Little Simz and Bastille.

Reading and Leeds Festival takes place from 26-28 August.
