Are you ready for the new series of 'Taskmaster'?
Prepare yourselves because the silliest, most downright bonkers show on telly is back on 8 May. What are we talking about? Taskmaster of course! Greg Davies and Alex Horne are returning to put another collection of famous faces through the comedy wringer.
Dave announced the show return on Twitter earlier today, with both stars taking on their usual roles.

The new series, which will be the eighth season so far, will see a fresh round of comedy recruits including Inbetweener Joe Thomas, Sian Gibson from Peter Kay’s Car Share and Love Island’s Iain Stirling submit themselves to Horne and Davies’ crazy challenges.

The audiences for Taskmaster seem to grow with every season. The opening episode of series 6 last May saw the show hit an all-time ratings high, with 778,000 viewers tuning in to watch Taskmaster Greg Davies and show creator Alex Horne put comedians including Russell Howard and Asim Chaudhry through their paces.
This number was smashed when series 7 landed last October and viewing numbers rocketed to around 1.44m an episode.
When not Taskmastering, Davies splits his time between BBC sitcom Cuckoo, stand-up and presenting. In fact, while fronting the Royal Variety Performance attended by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex back in December, he encountered an autocue error that saw him apologising to his mum on stage.
When he realised the mistake he turned it into a comedy moment, much to the delight of the audience.
Alex Horne originally came up with the concept for the shos when his friend Tim Key – who also starred in the first season – won the Edinburgh Comedy Award and Horne decided to create his own awards in return.
Taskmaster returns to Dave on 8 May.
