Real Madrid Player Misses Goal, Launches Football Into Nearby Apartment

Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde stunned soccer fans during a game against Rayo Vallecano on Monday, November 7, as a shot by the midfielder was so wide of the mark that the ball landed on a nearby balcony.

Footage by Javier Izquierdo shows the crowd in Madrid jumping to their feet as the football flies over the wall of the Vallecas stadium and into the home of an Iraqi family who regularly visit the Spanish city, according to El Pais.

“I preferred the ball to end up in my house than in Rayo’s goal,” said one of two brothers who were at home when the ball landed in the home owned by their father.
