Real Madrid vs Liverpool: Uefa Champions League Final 2018 team news and starting line-ups

Gareth Bale has missed out on a place in Real Madrid’s starting eleven for their Champions League final against Liverpool.

The Welshman, who also had to settle for a spot on the bench in Cardiff’s showpiece last season, has been in fine form in recent weeks under Zinedine Zidane, but Karim Benzema is preferred alongside Isco and Cristiano Ronaldo.

As expected for Liverpool, in search of their six European title, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, who have 29 Champions League goals between them so far this season, are the front three.

Adam Lallana makes the bench having slowly stepped up his recovery from injury in the latter stages of the season.

Madrid are looking for their third successive Champions League title, which could mean records for both Zidane, becoming the first manager to win three in a row, and Ronaldo who could become the first player to win a fifth in the modern era.
