Rebecca Humphries won an army of fans for the way she handled the aftermath of her ex Seann Walsh’s cheating scandal with his married Strictly partner Katya Jones.

The actress posted an essay on Twitter claiming to ‘not be a victim’ and various Instagram posts that include the cat she supposedly kept in the break-up with Walsh and a scathing Karaoke rendition of ‘I Put a Spell on You.’

And now she has returned with a heartfelt essay in Vogue, within which she reveals what shocked her the most from the entire ordeal.

And it’s probably not what you think. Humphries claims she has been most surprised by the outpouring of kindness from strangers over her heartbreak.

“On October 8, I had an aim: to present a more fully formed and accurate version of a woman than the neater, simpler character of “spurned partner” that was already being run with,” Humphries wrote.

“But perhaps the biggest shock (no mean feat), has been of the thousands of people who recognised the Wonder Woman behind that statement was at the same time standing in the ruins of a shattered reality – and their rush to offer humour, perspective and life-force to help rebuild it,” she explained.

She went on to write of the ‘electric kindness’ she’s experienced and that she believes kindness has been ‘revamped’ this year.

“It has been the most dynamic electric storm of kindness you could ever hope to experience..Being kind has had a revamp for 2018. It’s fierce, funny, vibrant, in your face, all singing, all dancing,” she wrote.

She concluded by encouraging readers to embrace kindness – especially to oneself – and called it ‘sexy.’

“It won’t be easy. For accepting it from others is one thing; the next and most difficult step is to learn how to be kind to oneself. But I’m well up for it. Especially now knowing how sexy it is.”
