Rebekah Vardy hints at I'm A Celebrity 'fix' over axed Iain Lee scenes

Rebekah Vardy has defended herself amid bullying accusations following her elimination from the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.

Outraged viewers have lashed out at Becky over her time in the ITV reality show, with many claiming that she and her fellow campmates, including Amir Khan and Jamie Lomas, have been bullying comic Iain Lee.

Now Becky has said that “so many” scenes of herself being friendly with Iain didn’t make it to air, hinting that the show was fixed.

Speaking to The Sun, she admitted that she was “devastated” to hear how she had come across, adding: “I cried when I found out. It seems that so many scenes weren’t aired on the show.

“The whole time I was checking if he was OK, especially after he failed his first trial. He wouldn’t eat and I had to force him to have food.

“I questioned whether he was playing a game as I didn’t understand how he could go from being so withdrawn and quiet to being loud and boisterous the minute the camera was on him.”

Becky raised eyebrows when she first left the camp as she told Extra Camp presenter Joe Swash that Iain was “fake” and had a “game plan”.

The star has now backtracked, insisting that she was “under pressure” from Swash to badmouth her campmate.

She said: “I was under pressure when I made that comment about him being an utter fake.

“Do you know what? Me and Iain had some really great conversations and I gave him a lot of pep talks.”

Following her appearance on Extra Camp, it was reported that the mother-of-one was planning to lodge a formal complaint against the host after she was left “livid” by his conduct.

An insider said: “She was ranting and raving at staff over Joe’s comments.

“She’s considering making a formal complaint. Becky called him a ‘weasel’.

“She expected Extra Camp to be light-hearted and fun – which it is – but ended up feeling like she had her back to the wall and was cornered and forced to talk about Iain Lee.”
