Rebekah Vardy has said arguing with Coleen Rooney would be like “arguing with a pigeon”, as their public spat rolls on.
The pair are at odds after Rooney – wife of footballer Wayne Rooney – posted a message on Twitter accusing her fellow “WAG” of leaking stories about her to the press.
Vardy, 37, has now told the Daily Mail what she and Rooney said when they spoke on the phone in the wake of the bombshell tweet.

She said it was not an easy conversation and that she told Rooney: “You have just annihilated me in public and hung me out to dry.”
Asked if she and Rooney rowed, Vardy said: “That would be like arguing with a pigeon.
“You can tell it that you are right and it is wrong, but it's still going to s*** in your hair.”
Rooney’s claim hit the headlines earlier this week.
The 33-year-old said she had spent months trying to work out who was sharing stories about her with The Sun, so blocked everyone from her private Instagram account except Vardy to see who it was.
She tweeted: “Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories if they made their way into the Sun newspaper. And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flooding in my new house.

“It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from.”
“It’s…… Rebekah Vardy’s account,” she added.

Rooney’s sleuthing skills led to her being dubbed “Wagatha Christie” on social media.
However, Vardy – wife of footballer Jamie Vardy - has denied the allegations and insisted she doesn’t speak to the press about Rooney.

“Over the past years various people have had access to my Insta... I’m not being funny but I don’t need the money. What would I gain from selling stories on you?” she tweeted.
Vardy has indicated that an expert is looking into where the leaks came from.
