Rebel Wilson Calls Sacha Baron Cohen 'A--hole' Named in Her Book, Says She 'Will Not Be Bullied or Silenced'
'Pitch Perfect' star Rebel Wilson wrote Sacha Baron Cohen is the 'a--hole' she names in her memoir 'Rebel Rising' in a Sunday night Instagram Story post
Rebel Wilson is naming the person she refers to as an "a--hole" in her book.
On Sunday night, the Pitch Perfect actress, 44, posted an Instagram Story that read, "I will not be bullied or silenced by high priced lawyers or PR crisis managers."
"The 'a--hole' that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen," she added of the upcoming Rebel Rising: A Memoir.
Wilson has said previously that she felt uncomfortable while making the 2016 film The Brothers Grimsby with Baron Cohen, 52.
A rep for Baron Cohen tells PEOPLE in a statement, "While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby."

In a video shared on Instagram earlier this month, Wilson said there's a chapter in which she names a man she previously worked with whom she considered a "massive a--hole."
"When I first came to Hollywood," the Australian actress and comedian began in the clip, "people were like, 'Yeah, I have a no-a--holes policy that means, like, I don't work with a--holes.' I was like, 'Yeah, I mean, that sounds sensible, logical.' "
"But then it really sunk in what they were meaning by that, older people in the industry. Because I worked with a massive a--hole, and, yeah, now I definitely have a no-a--holes policy chapter on said a--hole. It is chapter 23," added Wilson. "That guy was a massive a--hole."
In the caption, the Senior Year star wrote, "Do you wanna know why I have a 'no a--holes' policy now with people I work with? … Well it’s all in the book: REBEL RISING available for pre-order now (drops April 2nd, link in bio) … oh and YES I name the a--hole!"

Wilson previously spoke about the “gut-wrenching” process of writing Rebel Rising in a December 2023 video, and also gave a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her signing some copies.
In the Instagram Story clip, the Isn't It Romantic actress autographed printed pages from her memoir as she narrated the video.
“This is how I’m spending my nights of my holidays,” Wilson said. “Just another few thousand to go for the first people that buy the book.”
“You guys, I mean, I can’t wait for you to read this,” she added of the book. “You’re going to see a whole new side of me. Lots of funny stuff, and serious stuff … And hopefully you guys will love the book as much as I’ve loved writing it — although sometimes its been gut-wrenching and emotional.”
Rebel Rising: A Memoir, out April 2, is available for preorder now.
