Record label boss shot dead at London home 'was friends with man jailed for Denmark’s biggest heist’

A record label boss who was shot dead at his London home on Christmas Eve was friends with a man involved in one of the biggest heists in Denmark, according to reports.

Flamur “Alex” Beqiri, 36, was killed in front of his wife Debora Krasniqi, and child, near their £1.5million townhouse in Battersea on Tuesday.

Mail Online reported Mr Beqiri - the brother of former Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Misse Beqiri - was friends with Naief Adawi, 33, who was jailed for eight years for his part in a raid on a security firm in Brondby in 2008.

Adawi, 33, was a guest at Mr Beqiri’s wedding.

He was also the boyfriend of Dr Karolin Hakim, 31, who was shot dead in Malmo in August this year.

A report in Expressen, a national Swedish newspaper, claimed Mr Beqiri was a close friend of the physician.

Assasins reportedly looking for Adawi shot Dr Hakim dead, with their two-month-old baby in her arms after Adawi had handed her the child and then ran.

The baby survived the attack.

Detective Inspector Jamie Stevenson said police were looking into the possibility Mr Beqiri’s murder was targeted.

He said in a statement: 'Work is ongoing to determine what the possible motive could be, and while we retain an open mind, we are considering that this is a targeted attack.

‘While I am mindful of concerns from the local community, we do not believe at this stage that there is any ongoing risk to members of the public.

'We believe Flamur may possibly have been involved in some criminality in Sweden, and are in liaison with our Swedish counterparts to try to understand what, if any, incidents there may have been that might have led to someone seeking retribution against Flamur in the UK.'

Scotland Yard said Mr Beqiri, a Swedish national who has Albanian heritage, had been living in London for four or five years.

DI Stevenson added he was shot multiple times in Battersea Church Road by a lone attacker who fled on foot.

The Mail Online also previously reported Mr Beqiri was wanted by Swedish police in 2008 amid claims he was part of a drug-smuggling ring pushing cannabis into Scandinavia but drug charges against him were later dropped.

A report in Expressen, a national Swedish newspaper, in 2007 said the then 24-year-old Mr Beqiri was wanted after 340kg of cannabis was seized by customs officials.

No arrests have been made in relation to Mr Beqiri’s death and the Metropolitan Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
