Vinyl enthusiasts all over London will be celebrating Record Store Day this weekend with a host of parties and live events across the city.

Rough Trade East on Brick Lane is planning a huge day of in-store performances on April 21 with the likes of Hinds, Little Simz and The Charlatan’s Tim Burgess all on the bill. The shop also has more than 500 exclusive Record Store Day releases available in store which can’t be bought online, so don’t miss out.

Sister store Rough Trade West on Talbot Road is getting in on the act too, welcoming the likes of Goat Girl and Haley to perform.

Elsewhere, head to New Cross to take in the Incredible Society party at the Amersham Arms in the evening, featuring live music from up and coming bands Pictish Trail, Clémentine March and Gift Horse. Tickets are only a fiver with a Record Store Day purchase receipt too.

Artists C.A.R and Emma Tricka will be performing live in Flashback Records in Islington on Saturday. It’s one of the best record shops in North London and customers also get a 20 per cent discount on food and drink at the nearby Harringay Arms too, so what's not to like?

Soul Proprietors in Brixton is a dream for jazz fans and the shop will be hosting a BBQ and welcoming UK combo Ill Considered to perform in their garden. It’s a great place to pick up some of the must-have Record Store Day releases, including the funky-heavy Rubberband EP from Miles Davis featuring previously unheard tracks with newly recorded vocals from the Grammy-nominated Ledisi.

Finally, Lion Coffee & Records on Clapton Road is putting on live music, DJ sets and spoken word performances. Take it all in with a few cocktails before heading to the afterparty at Blondies just down the road. Don't miss it.
