Lincolnshire's much-loved Red Arrows have returned home to the UK after their tour of Canada. The iconic RAF display team departed for Canada on August 17 for their Maple Hawk tour which saw them perform at various locations across the country, including Niagara Falls.

The team arrived home safe and sound at RAF Waddington on Tuesday, September 24 ahead of their end of season finale at Duxford on October 5. Squadron Leader Jon Bond said: "I think my proudest moment was just seeing the whole team come together to produce an epic five-week tour of Canada.

"Whether that be the Reds and Blues here at RAFAT or the people that came from across the air force to support us to deliver 100 per cent success during Maple Hawk 24. It takes a huge amount of effort to get a 1980s aeroplane across the North Atlantic there and back, and to arrive back on time was really special."

He added: "It's great to return to our families, I think they'll be very pleased to have us all back. They give us so much support over a four-month long season, sometimes with long periods away."

The Reds are back in action on October 3 at RAF Waddington with various flying displays as Exercise Cobra Warrior comes to an end. They then have an RAF Lossiemouth rehearsal on October 4 before the end of season finale at Duxford on October 5.
