The Palestinian Red Crescent said its teams had dealt with over 300 injured people amid clashes between protesters and the Israel Police at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque on May 10.

Twenty-one police officers were reported to have been injured.

By the early afternoon, police said protesters who had barricaded themselves inside the mosque had emerged.

Tensions have been heightened in Jerusalem this Ramadan, amid the possible eviction of several Palestinian families in the city’s eastern Shaikh Jarrah district.
