Fans of the US band will be able to buy tickets to catch the Chilli Peppers headlining their own show for the first time in nearly half a decade.

Fresh from a summer of festivals, playing the likes of Lollapalooza in Chicago, T In The Park in Scotland, and this weekend, the Reading and Leeds festivals, the band will be touring in support of their 11th studio album, The Getaway.

The tour dates are as follows with tickets going on sale 10 am September 2:

However, one man who surely won’t be buying a ticket is Fox News’ music critic, Greg Gutfeld, who this week made his dislike for the band international news.

In a segment about music news, he called them a ‘poor man’s Faith No More’ and compared front man Anthony Kiedis to a gorilla playing the guitar and the US news footage quickly went viral.

Greg later called the Red Hot Chilli Peppers ‘the worst band on the planet’, clarifying the day after ‘the ‘worst band in the universe’.
