Redditch cocaine dealers jailed after police targeted ‘Madz’ county drugs line
Two Redditch dealers have been jailed after police targeted the ‘Madz’ county drugs line. The pair were sentenced at court for their roles in supplying heroin and crack cocaine into the town, West Mercia Police said.
Tawqeer Mahmood, and Aliyan Razzak, both 22, were initially arrested and later charged following warrants targeting the ‘Madz’ county line that were carried out by officers in Redditch and West Midlands Police in July last year.
Mahmood, of Other Road, Redditch, was jailed for four years two months (50 months) for being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs - heroin and crack cocaine - following a hearing at Birmingham Crown Court Thursday, January 23. He was also ordered to serve a further six-months consecutively for breaching a suspended sentence, taking his total to four years eight months (56 months).

Razzak, of Mount Street, Redditch, was sentenced to 32 months for one count of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs - heroin - and 32 months for one count of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs – crack cocaine, to run concurrently.
Speaking after the case, Safer Neighbourhood Inspector for Redditch, Rich Field, said: “We are pleased to get these results at court for these two drug dealers who operated the Madz county line in Redditch, selling class A drugs into our community.
“Working together with our colleagues at West Midlands Police, we targeted addresses and individuals in raids last July aimed at stopping their dealing which has a harmful impact on the public we are here to protect and serve.
“Drug dealers prey on some of the most vulnerable people in society and their presence in turn causes more crime such as shoplifting, burglary and antisocial behaviour.
“We will not cease in our ongoing efforts to drive drug dealers and all the harm they cause away from our town.”
