Rehabilitated Koala Surveys New Tree Before Release

Little Diesel was under the watchful care of volunteers at Port Stephens Koalas sanctuary after he came into the shelter last November.

Since then, the orphaned joey has been rehabilitated and quickly established himself as a funny and playful little soul.

He was weaned and released onto a big tree to gain grown-up koala skills before he is fully released into the wild.

By the looks of things, Diesel is getting there quickly, with a talent for jumping from branch to branch. Credit: Port Stephens Koalas via Storyful
