Remembrance Sunday 2024 events across Somerset
Remembrance Sunday is this weekend (November 10), where the country will be coming together to remember those who gave their lives in times of war. To mark the solemn occasion, Somerset Live has compiled a list of services and processions throughout the county.
Speaking on the significance of Remembrance Sunday, Chair of Bath and North East Somerset Council Karen Walker said: “Remembrance Day and Remembrance Sunday are a chance to reflect on the lives lost in the First World War and in every war since then. It is a time for us all to remember those who served and kept us safe so we can enjoy the freedoms we have today.
"They are also an important opportunity for the community to come together in unity and I hope many people will join an event near them.”
