Following a trilogy of beloved romcoms, Bridget Jones actress Renée Zellweger has admitted (once again) that she'd be interested in a fourth movie in the franchise.

Adapted from Helen Fielding's series of novels about a boozy and unlucky-in-love singleton, the Bridget Jones movies have been hugely successful – but is there room for any more capers following 2016's Bridget Jones's Baby?

We'd like Hugh Grant's Daniel Cleaver back, for starters...

During an appearance on The Talk this week, Oscar winner Zellweger was asked whether she'd be up for starring in another instalment, and just what would her character be up to these days?

"Bridget Jones: The Menopause," she jokingly responded. "No, I know Helen's written the book, and I love this character. So, I mean, if they call me, I'll go running."

The author released Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy back in 2013, which is the third book in her literary collection (Bridget Jones's Baby was based on an original script), so there's definitely some material to play with.

Zellweger previously voiced her hopes for a fourth movie last year, when she noted: "I really hope [there is another movie]. I do. I love her. She's so much fun."

Let's hope the powers-that-be are reading this article, because we'd happily watch Zellweger cook some more rancid blue soup.
