Reneé Rapp Makes Red Carpet Debut with Towa Bird at 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars Party
Bird has been the opening act on Rapp's Snow Hard Feelings Tour since September
Reneé Rapp appears to have a new girlfriend.
The singer, 24, stepped out at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars Party with Towa Bird, a Hong Kong-born musician who was one of the supporting acts on Rapp’s Snow Hard Feelings Tour for the last several months.
The pair initially posed separately on the red carpet, with Rapp looking striking in a long, white collared dress with a high leg slit and a plunging neckline. The dress was styled similarly to a longer version of a dress shirt, and she wore a pair of tights and a classic pair of black pumps, along with some simple silver jewelry to finish the look.
Bird, 23, wore a flashier look than her partner as she rocked a two-piece denim suit bedazzled with rust-colored buttons and an embroidered bird design on the lapel. Under the suit jacket, she wore a black ruffle-trimmed blouse. She paired the look with boots.
The couple were not only spotted together on the red carpet ahead of the party — they were also seen enjoying each other’s company inside the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts where the party was held. In one photo, the musicians were seen cozied up to each other as they each enjoyed an espresso martini.

Rapp’s relationship with the singer-songwriter comes after she was dating TikToker Alissa Carrington for close to a year, though they kept the nature of their relationship very private. In August, Rapp told PEOPLE she sees “so much about her love life online” and some of it “really, really f---ing hurts my feelings.”
Of sharing more of her then-ongoing relationship, she said, “I swore up and down I would never be in a public relationship and then I just found someone who I really loved and made me feel really safe and comfortable. So then I started posting with this person, and then it became a whole thing. Now I'm like, f---, I have to deal with the consequences of my own actions of publicly co-signing someone as my partner.”
In a February profile with The Hollywood Reporter, the “Pretty Girls” singer confirmed that she and Carrington had broken up last year.

Rapp’s relationship with Bird has been the subject of much speculation in recent months. Sunday’s joint red carpet appearance marks the first public confirmation of a possible romance between the singers.
Ahead of Rapp’s tour, the British singer — who was the opening act on the U.S. and European leg of her latest tour, which began in September in Houston and concluded earlier this month in Dublin, Ireland — told PEOPLE, “Opening for Reneé Rapp this autumn makes me very proud. I’m honored to be able to perform for her audience.”
“I’ve been excitedly putting together my live show. Performing live is really the first place where I found my adoration for music,” she said.

Bird described her sound as “if '70s classic rock and '90s Britpop had a baby, and the baby was queer, Asian and a woman.”
