Rescue Crews Assess Flood Damage in New South Wales Town

Emergency crews assessed damage caused by severe flooding in the New South Wales (NSW) town of Forbes on November 16, as residents in the area were told to evacuate.

Footage by the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) shows members of its Sutherland Shire crew in Forbes, one of the towns hardest hit by recent flooding in the state.

“Today they have been on water in central Forbes conducting flood rescues and assisting to transport essential workers including doctors and nurses,” NSW SES said.

Evacuation warnings were in place for Forbes on Wednesday, as major flooding was set to continue into Friday, the Bureau of Meteorology said. Credit: NSW SES via Storyful
