At least five people were killed, and seven injured, when a building collapsed in Amman, Jordan, on September 13, the Jordan Civil Defense said.
Rescue operations continued on September 14, as more than 10 people were feared to be under the rubble of the building, Al-Mamlaka TV, Jordan’s public broadcaster, reported citing officials.
A voice could be heard from under the rubble, Al-Mamlaka said, adding that “among those trapped were a baby girl, a woman in her 60s, and a man.”
Up to 20 people were believed to have been in the building when it collapsed, according to Al-Mamlaka.
