Emergency workers raced to rescue survivors from the rubble of buildings in Thumanë, in Albania’s Durrës County, on Tuesday, November 26, following a deadly magnitude-6.4 earthquake that struck the area around 4 am, killing at least 16 people.
The US Geological Survey recorded a series of aftershocks, several of which were at least magnitude 5.
