Police in Ukraine’s Donetsk region evacuated residents from the city of Lyman on May 2, amid reports of shelling.
Footage captured by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) shows scenes of the rescue operation underway as RFE/RL correspondent Levko Stek accompanied police and spoke to the residents.
Regional governor Pavlo Kyrylenko said on Telegram on May 1 that four civilians were killed in Russian shelling attacks on Lyman.
