Residents Paddle Through Streets as Yagi Brings Deadly Flooding to Vietnam

Residents were seen navigating the streets of Thai Nguyen, northern Vietnam, in boats on September 10, as tens of thousands were evacuated after tropical storm Yagi caused widespread flooding and killed dozens of people, officials said on Facebook.

Footage from Instagram user @anneee_1707 shows the aftermath of storm Yagi with flooded streets, scattered debris, and residents using boats to get around on Tuesday morning.

The Ministry of Public Security reported that 19 bodies were found on Tuesday, with 31 people still missing, tens of thousands evacuated, and 1,042 homes affected by the flooding in the province of Thai Nguyen.
