Residents Scramble to Escape the Red Apple Fire in Washington State

Local residents rushed to leave home as the Red Apple Fire spread to more than 9,000 acres on July 14.

Jordan Beckmann captured the moment he drove away from the wildfire burning near his car.

“It’s real f***ed up,” he speaks in the video as he makes his way out from the fire zone.

Beckmann told Storyful that the fire moved too fast and the residents were “taken off guard had to scramble to get out of the fire’s path before it closed our exits.” Credit: Jordan Beckmann via Storyful
