Flames lit up a residential street in Fenton on Friday night (January 24) as firefighters rushed to the scene. Video footage, taken from residents on Oldfield Street, show the dramatic scene as fire crews battle to get the large fire under control before it could spread to nearby homes.

Crews from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to calls of a large van ablaze at the side of the road. Terrace houses, with young families inside, were just feet away from the roaring blaze.

One resident commented on social media to say they were in one of the properties closest to the fire with young children and a two-month-old baby.
