Residents were told to seek shelter in Las Vegas, Nevada, and its surrounding areas on July 22 as the National Weather Service warned of winds of up to 60 miles per hour and heavy rain.

Widespread power outages were experienced in the aftermath of the storm, with the American Red Cross opening a shelter in Las Vegas to help those impacted, according to local reports.
