Residents Urged to Evacuate as Firefighters Battle Chemical Plant Fire in Omaha

Omaha authorities urged residents to evacuate on Monday, May 30, after a three-alarm fire at a chemical plant sent clouds of black smoke billowing into the sky over the city.

This footage, filmed by Ashlee Coffey, shows a large plume of smoke wafting from the Nox-Crete plant in downtown Omaha.

The Omaha Fire Department recommended evacuations for residents near the blaze, due to “smoke from the fire”.
