'Rest in peace sweetheart': Tributes paid to Lucien Guest, 22, who died after A19 crash

Heart-breaking tributes have been paid to a dearly loved son, brother, grandson and cherished family member who died after a crash.

The family of 22-year-old Lucien Guest paid a heartfelt tribute after he sadly died following a collision on the A19, near Murton on the morning of Sunday, September 29. Lucien was described as naturally kind with a very cheerful and positive look to life.

Hi family released a statement today which read: “Lucien, our dearly loved son, brother, grandson and cherished family member whose young life at the age of twenty-two was tragically cut short. You were so so loved.

“Lucien’s fun, loving nature endeared him to those who knew him as a child and as the beautiful, sensitive young man he became. He will be loved and missed by the whole family and by those whose lives he touched.

“Memories of life with Lucien will be treasured for the rest of our lives. Rest in peace sweetheart. Here's hoping all your sorrows are now gone and you can fly free.”

Teesside Live previously reported paramedics rushed to the scene at approximately 11.50am on Sunday, September 29, following reports of the collision. The driver involved was uninjured, reports Chronicle Live. The aftermath saw the closure of the southbound lane for several hours while the opposite direction faced restrictions.

Both the North East Ambulance Service and the Great North Air Ambulance were deployed, with Durham Police also in attendance.
