A new pizza restaurant is coming to Liverpool with a drink you won’t be able to get anywhere else. Holy Garage will open next Friday, November 29.

Located in a Grade II listed Victorian building on Mount Pleasant originally built in the 1870s, the city centre restaurant and bar will tap into the building’s history. It used to house a former Christian missionary and was also the location of the world’s first ever YMCA.

Holy Garage, which is close to the city’s universities and Georgian Quarter, will offer a core Detroit style pizza menu with specials introduced on a monthly basis. Its rotating craft beer menu offering will focus on the best of local craft beer with the likes of Black Lodge and Carnival alongside other top names from the UK craft brewery scene and brands from further afield.

It will also be the first venue in the UK to supply Shakacan – the premium canned shaken cocktails making waves in Europe. Games and live sport will also be available in the venue with a big projector screen in town and regular events to be introduced in the coming months.

To celebrate the opening Holy Garage will be giving away 500 free slices of Detroit pizza on Friday, November 29 between 12pm and 5pm. These will be given on a first-come first-served basis, with those interested warned that once they’re gone, they’re gone.
