Restaurants that have confirmed their reopening dates in London

They say absence makes the heart go fonder – when it involves being separated from our favourite restaurants, we say it makes the stomach pretty darn ravenous too.

From July 4, restaurants, pubs and bars in England have finally been permitted to open to dine-in customers. It's not just the food we've missed (some stellar new delivery options have kept London's foodies well fed), but the buzz of a night out, the escapism of being in an enchanting dining room, the quiet thrill of impeccable service and everything else the London hospitality industry does so well.

Things will look a bit different for a bit, of course. We now know what the social distancing and hygiene guidelines will be for hospitality venues – among them a new "one-metre plus" rule and the collection of contact details for NHS coronavirus tracking – and many of the capital's restaurants have spent recent weeks getting ready to reopen.

Even since before the prime minister revealed July 4 as the big day, restaurants have been gradually confirming the dates from which they will welcome dine-in customers once again. Many, of course, have already returned in the last two months – if you want to find a restaurant that is has already reopened its doors, check out our guide here.

Keen to know when your favourite restaurant is planning to to open its doors? These are the restaurants that have announced their reopening dates so far.
