It's been an exciting year for new restaurants in Hull with several new independents and famous brands coming to the city.

Riva Blu opened in Kingswood Retail Park in July and quickly racked up favourable reviews for its Italian menu and decor. Five Guys, the US burger chain known for its high level of menu customisation, will also be arriving in Kingswood with a restaurant and drive-thru takeaway early next year.

We've also had the stunning Iron Lillies appear in Princes Quay. The eye-catching restaurant makes full use of the abundance of glass and feels like a peaceful botanic garden - it's even got an indoor pond.
