The revival of Moon Boots: how to wear them in real life
Moon Boots are back.
Inspired by the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969, the first iteration of the apres-ski shoes made quite the sartorial impact in the nineties. The unmissable shoe even hit trend status and was often seen on the feet of celebrities including Paris Hilton and Missy Elliot. But, much like Juicy Couture tracksuits and Spice Girl-approved Buffalo Boots, the footwear had its heyday.
Now, though, the Moon Boot is having something of a revival with the brand reporting a 100 per cent increase in sales from 2017 to 2018 in the UK.

For those not brave enough to rock the padded snow shoes, Moon Boot has also given its famous silhouette a modern makeover for 2019 with the launch of the the Urban range.
The collection features several cropped styles for both men and women. The boots' original DNA of recognisable lacing, shape and sole are merged with a streetwear edge, so that Moon Boots can now be worn both on the slopes and city streets.
