'RHOC' alum Meghan King marries President Joe Biden's nephew, Cuffe, in 'small, family wedding'

Surprise! Meghan O'Toole King and Cuffe Biden Owens are married.

The former Real Housewives of Orange County star, 37, and Owens, nephew of President Joe Biden, went pubic with their relationship only two weeks ago. The nuptials were announced on Monday by the White House as the president and First Lady Jill Biden attended the 50-person wedding at the groom's childhood home in Pennsylvania.

"Our wedding was about two things for us," King tells Brides. "Our love for and commitment to each other, and our family — each of our families, and the new very large and very tight family that we were bonding together by getting married. That's it."

King, who starred on Bravo's RHOC for three seasons, introduced fans to "my man" last month. Cuffe is a Los Angeles-based attorney and son of Valerie Owens, Biden's sister who is also one of his closest advisers. Valerie helped plan the ceremony, which was intentionally scheduled for Oct. 11 — Cuffe's parents' wedding anniversary.

"Consistent with our choice of venue and our reasons for choosing it, our vision was of an intimate and simple gathering — no major frills, no overthinking, no drama," King, who wore a blazer dress by Rasario, noted in Brides. "Having it planned by and for our family, with our complete and total trust, probably couldn’t reflect more who we are as a couple."

The couple's whirlwind romance is a modern love story.

"We connected on a dating app, texted for a day or two, then spent five straight hours on the phone the first time we spoke," King shared. "By the time that call ended, Cuffe was booked and packed for a flight to St. Louis that took off in about eight hours. Within a week, we were back on the East Coast, meeting his family, and starting to plan our future together. We didn’t leave each other's side for weeks."

This is King's third marriage. She finalized her acrimonious divorce from Jim Edmonds earlier this year. The reality star shares three children — Aspen, 4, and 3-year-old twin sons, Hart and Hayes — with the former MLB star. The children served as King and Cuffe's wedding party.
