Richard Hammond reflects on 'bad bits' and emotional farewell with Jeremy Clarkson and James May
Richard Hammond, a star of The Grand Tour, made an appearance on This Morning with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard. The car aficionado who lives in Herefordshire was there to chat about his Workshop TV show, but the conversation quickly veered towards his last filming experience with pals and former Top Gear colleagues Jeremy Clarkson and James May.
When questioned about what advice he would offer his younger self regarding working with James and Jeremy for two decades, Richard, who was just 31 when they first began, humorously suggested that he wouldn't be sitting with them now if he had offered any counsel to his younger self. This Morning's hosts found this amusing, although after a moment of contemplation, Richard added: "I would say, stick with it, it's going to be incredible."
He remembered breaking down in tears when he got the call inviting him to join the team, and celebrating the news with his wife over a bottle of champagne, reports the Express. Richard continued: "I said to Min, 'This is going to change everything', It did! ".

"Yeah, there have been bad bits but for anybody over 23 years, you've got good bits and bad bits. We had it at a magnified level."
Reflecting on the conclusion of filming with Jeremy and James, Richard confessed it felt really odd and he's still trying to come to terms with it, according to The Mirror. He confessed: "I reckon, six months from now I'll suddenly sit in my bed in the morning and go, 'It's all over! '. It will really hit me."
