Richard Osman has an exciting update on his returning BBC show House of Games.

The writer and presenter has been quite busy with the film version of his Thursday Murder Club literary franchise, but he's also been working double time on his TV game show.

To celebrate the return of House of Games this week — airing Mondays through Fridays at 6pm on BBC Two — he shared the news that 100 new episodes of the game show were being produced.

Alongside a photo of this week's guest panelists, he wrote on Instagram: "The brand-new series of #HouseofGames starts today! 100 new episodes on their way to you, and we start with a cracking week starring @voguewilliams [Vogue Williams] @strachan.michaela [Michaela Strachan] @ahirshah [Ahir Shah] and Dr X [Xand van Tulleken]! See you at 6!"

Richard Osman's House of Games, which first aired in 2017, invites a crop of new celebrities each week to crown a House of Games champion.

The five rounds in each episode range from rapid-fire general knowledge questions based around rhymes to the so-called "slow" questions where the celebrity guests get a few extra minutes to figure out each answer.

Osman shared this week's lineup in his Instagram post, while next week's shows are set to feature Michael Ball, Jodie Prenger, Laurence Rickard, and Snoochie Shy.

As mentioned, Osman is working with Hollywood icon Steven Spielberg and Netflix on the film version of Thursday Murder Club — with David Tennant, Dame Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and Sir Ben Kingsley attached to star.

Osman is co-writing the film script with comedian Katy Brand. Harry Potter and Mrs. Doubtfire's Chris Columbus is on board to direct, with Spielberg producing.

Over the weekend, Osman dropped hints that Thursday Murder Club may premiere on Netflix either next summer or autumn.

In addition to his film and TV slate, Osman released his latest mystery novel We Solve Murders and a Netflix adaptation could follow. The story follows father-and-daughter-in-law detectives, Amy and Steve Wheeler, racing to find a killer after discovering a dead body.

Richard Osman's House of Games airs Mondays through Fridays at 6pm on BBC Two.
