Rick Scott Uses Back Door at Campaign Event as 'Red Tide' Protesters Block Entrance

Florida Gov Rick Scott was met by vociferous protesters during a campaign stop in Venice on September 18, incensed by a toxic algae bloom that has plagued the Florida coast.

Protesters gathered near Scott’s destination, Mojo’s Real Cuban restaurant, and jammed the sidewalks in the area. Scott entered the restaurant through the back door and left after just 10 minutes, to cries of “coward” from the crowd, according to the Herald-Tribune.
