Rifle and drugs seized as disorder breaks out in West Bromwich street
Police seized a rifle and drugs after disorder broke out in West Bromwich. Officers were called to an address in Turner Street, around 6pm, on Tuesday (Oct 29) following reports of a disturbance.
They discovered the gun and a quantity of cannabis. A 53-year-old man suffered a head injury in the disturbance and was taken to hospital. He was discharged and arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and drugs.
Enquiries are underway to identify the others involved in the incident.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We've recovered a firearm and drugs from an address in West Bromwich after being called to a disturbance overnight. The gun and quantity of cannabis were seized from an address on Turner Street following the disturbance, at around 6pm yesterday.
"A 53-year-old man suffered a head injury in the disturbance and was taken to hospital, but has been discharged and now remains under arrest on suspicion of possession of a firearm and cannabis. Enquiries continue to identify other people involved."
