Rihanna Sparks Concern As She Arrives 30 Minutes Late To Dublin Gig And Cries Mid-Performance
The pop superstar was overcome with emotion near the start of the first show of her UK and Ireland tour last night (June 21).
Rihanna arrived on stage 30 minutes late at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, and, then found herself overcome with emotion when performing her 2010 hit with Eminem, “Love The Way You Lie.”
The 28-year-old star held her hand up as a signal that she needed a moment to regain composure, leading to cheers of support from the Rihanna Navy, who were more than happy to fill in the lyrics.
As a true professional, Rihanna continued with a flawless rendition of the powerful song as tears rolled down her cheeks, she then went on to perform her full 24-song show.
It’s unclear what sparked Ri-Ri’s emotion but a number of her fans were quite concerned by it, as they took to social media to share messages of love and support for the singer.

Some wondered whether something might have happened prior to taking to the stage, while others speculated that the star was feeling overwhelmed by the crowd’s reaction.
In support of the latter of these theories, Rihanna spoke about the Irish crowd further into her performance. She said: “I only have ever in my life heard an audience of people scream so loud that they sound like one voice and that only happens in Ireland, in Dublin. Thank you so much.”

Rihanna released her latest album ‘Anti’ back in January, but it only managed to reach number seven in the UK charts, after confusion surrounded its Tidal-only release, before being issued on other services a day later.
The talented singer is currently wowing fans across the globe on the Anti World Tour, which kicked off in March, and will continue at London’s Wembley Stadium on Friday night (June 24).
