Rihanna has split from her boyfriend of three years, Hassan Jameel. The news came out on Friday, and while Rihanna fans have been taking that in, Rih has been having fun.
Per E News!, the singer spent Friday at the 2020 Yams Day Benefit Concert in New York City, honoring hip-hop producer and founder of ASAP Mob, ASAP Yams, who died on January 18, 2015. Rihanna was seen backstage with A$AP Rocky, laughing and having fun. E! reportedly had learned of the breakup only hours before this event.
E! says this interaction might be more than just a friendly hangout between Rihanna and A$AP; they've been the object of some romance rumors in the past. They got hot and heavy during A$AP's 2013 "Fashion Killa" music video. A romance between the two would not be out of the question, but Rihanna just ended a relationship, so maybe it's best to cool our jets on the A$AP speculation.
Rihanna and Hassan were a fairly quiet couple, but Rih did speak openly about her personal life in a June 2019 Interview magazine conversation with her Oceans 8 co-star Sarah Paulson.
"I got into a new relationship, and it matters to me. It was like, 'I need to make time for this.' Just like I nurture my businesses, I need to nurture this as well. I'll shut things down for two days, three days at a time. On my calendar we now have the infamous 'P,' which means personal days. This is a new thing."
