Rihanna’s dancer is safe and being treated after star’s appeal

Yesterday we reported Rihanna had issued a plea to find missing backup dancer Shirlene Quigley after she ditched her mobile phone in a bridal shop and boarded a bus in New York in the early hours of Sunday.

Shirlene has now been found safe and well by police on Tuesday following Rihanna’s and fellow former boss Missy Elliott’s socia media appeals to fans to track her down.

Shirlene is said to be receiveing specialist treatment in a “medical facility” and a post on the Facebook page of the North Bergen Police Department stated: “After an extensive search by North Bergen Police Department Detectives in cooperation with the NYPD, we have located the SHIRLENE QUIGLEY.

"She is safe and at a medical facility whose location is undisclosed at this time. North Bergen Police Detectives have contacted her father and he is in route from Los Angeles to reunite with his daughter.

"We are very pleased with this outcome. We want to thank the New York City Police Department for their tremendous amount of cooperation in this matter.”

Shirlene has worked for artists such as Beyoncé, Jamie Foxx, and Mary J. Blige.

We’re glad to hear she is safe and being reunited with her family.
